    Bath sharing is fun.
A long while ago we stayed at a B+B in the Kendal area, stayed at the same one a few times.

On our first visit we spent a looong time in the bathroom (wink, wink), on a subsequent visit we got to see the visitors book. The hosts had described us as 'an odd couple'
I love Hendrix for so many reasons. He was so much more than just a blues guitarist - he played damn well any kind of guitar he wanted. In fact I'm not sure if he even played the guitar - he played music. - Stevie Ray Vaughan

I used to share baths with my girlfriend at university. Now I share showers with my partner (well how else can you wash your back properly?)

Students taking baths? You must have gone to one of the classier Unis. Back then so many of the students wore Afghan coats, which had a reputation for being a bit smelly when wet, but the smell was actually coming from the wearers - the coat just gave them something to blame...

I wonder what happened to all those Afghans? And also the trench coats, another popular choice. I had one of them too, but one night in the pub this bird (yes this was the 70s) tipped a bottle of patchouli oil over it. After that the coat was banned from my place of work, and I had to keep it in the basement until hometime. My mother thought I'd been "smoking drugs" as the hippies who frequented the corner shop where she worked smelled the same. Close but no cigar

This is crazy!! Government decisions have put us in a situation where we are held to ransom by foreign fuel suppliers.

We still have North Sea gas and oil, but that's not enough: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oil_an...United_Kingdom

Why has there not been enough investment in renewables? There is still a significant shortfall!

Around 30% to 40% of our energy needs rely on imports.

Something sensible on this. From the Mail of all places.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Remember seeing that when it happened. Thankfully the jury saw sense and the farmer was not guilty, but must still have been stressful for him. As for the little runts (yes, that’s an “r” ) that caused all this in the first place... grrrrrrrrr!
