interesting as lynch hated dune, as it was kinda taken out of his hands by Universal, who took post-production control of the film away from Lynch and re-edited his original three-hour version into a shorter two-hour and fifteen-minute studio cut.
still, as you say its a work of art but could have been better if they had let him alone.

another thing i found funny was Faye Dunaway saying that getting raped etc by Redford isnt the worst thing that can happen to a woman, so to get some fearful expressions, director Pollack shot some closeups of her while he said nasty and scary things he was going to do to her.the mind boggles

A little ditty now to fill time after such a intense film as M... Blame It on the Bellboy, 1992. directed by Mark Herman and starring Dudley Moore, Bryan Brown, Patsy Kensit, Richard Griffiths, Penelope Wilton, Alison Steadman, Andreas Katsulas, and Bronson Pinchot.
I quite like all the main stars in this and although its a nothing much film it has its moments. Penelope Wilton is quite funny and a nice lived in face too.
