I got a crate of pork snacks [emoji846]Much as I loath the American import of new celebrations such as Father's Day (just another excuse and opportunity for commercial exploitation), and never entered in to it with my own father - I have been honoured with a Father's Day card and gifts, even though I don't have any children.
Rather it is a 'Grandfather's Day' acknowledgement from my partner's granddaughter, who is here as a university student. Totally unexpected, and I have to say I was rather touched.
