    Hi Guy,

Lol - I know... No, it's just natural, the way it was in the woods. And it was all free!

It's a cool colour, so should make a nice contrast against the green and red (as well as the pine cones and sliced oranges and limes she's dried, plus cinnamon sticks), when all that goes on, to make the wreath

She'll be a busy wee bee... Even now she's making some traditional Italian Christmas cookies, called Befana, see here (essentially vanilla/butter-biscuits with a chopped almond and sweet liqueur filling): https://rootsliving.com/?p=947

You serve those along with some Amaretto Disaronno or Vin Santo - gorgeous!

    Proper tree, dude!

Nice proportions, nice job decorating it. I always used to get a real tree, and going to choose one felt like the start of Christmas. But in the bungalow we just don't have the space for one

You just need to move it over a bit, I can't see the telly

Cheers! Lol - indeed... Although in reality it doesn't block it (much) - just if you were sitting on the corner of the sofa. Del tends to lie back on it, so her head's at the other end. I have my own recliner chair, which faces the TV.

Yeah, we've always been used to a real tree. We're not fans of the artificial ones. Most just look wrong, plus they're rather boring. Far more fun picking a new one every year, which will always be individual and different. Creates a lovely scent of pine in the room, too!

Plus, as we've got tiled stone floors, the needles just get swept up - no annoying sticking to carpets

looking forward to seeing the wreath - we usually go out to get "bits" for Fliss to make something, holly with enough berries to look suitably seasonal can be a pain.
I am very taken with that white holly though (absolutely love it), I take it that it was just a few branches coming off a green bush (otherwise how on earth does the plant photosynthesise )

By the way, Fliss makes a mean biscotti (no idea where she gets the recipe) love it with coffee and an armagnac - seasonal treats in my mind

Lol - no idea... There were several full large bushes of it though, so not an 'accident'. Next time we're there, we'll snap a few pics

Cool... It's a nice combo, although in Italy biscotti are traditionally served with sweet wine (vin santo)
