The other Variations are much later, and IMO not as "good" - but I may not have persevered enough with them. I was at the first performance of these, at the Fairfield Hall in Croydon. Odd concert: a very old Stokowski murdering a Tchaikovsky symphony, IIRC, and Tod Handley conducting the Bliss.
