At just under 90 minutes, is this the slowest Bruckner 7 ever? -- at least as it's on DVD I didn't have to change discs part way through.
Very good, though. Boring, it isn't! I do like Celi's conducting.
A fascinating 55 minute documentary / rehearsal film also included on the DVD.

I love the work of the Musica Antiqua Köln but surprisingly, despite possessing several copies of this Bach work, it is only now that I have acquired a copy of this performance.

Quite possibly the best SACD sound quality I have heard - hey, I actually enjoyed this one!
They often sound blurred and mushy, bloated and ill-defined, to me. Maybe I need to hear them in surround sound?
Very very fine performances, too.

The same clear, precise and lucid playing as in the other. Nice.




Whoa! - magnificent. Recording is a little bright and forward on climaxes (of which there are many, very powerfully conveyed here).
