£5.05 for full cooked breakfast and as many cups of tea as you want - it would have to be pretty bad in there to keep me out.
At the pub we went to this morning, my cooked breakfast was 8 quid, a cup of tea extra. And it really wasn't all that, I won't be going back there.
I doubt I could find anywhere round here that does a full English cooked brekkie under a tenner. The little cafe in the village is £10.95 but that’s pretty much 2 of everything plus beans tomatoes and mushrooms. No drink included, but toast is.
Weather wise it hasn’t rained but pretty gloomy off and on, 73% chance of thunderstorms now. 15c so not too cold. Forecast looks very good at the weekend, fingers crossed…
went into town, needless to say started raining half way there, got soaked on the way back since the rain was accompanied by a gale starting up from nothing.
Been back about 20 minutes and the sun is out now.
We tried our local Wetherspoons last Friday, pretty good and how do they do those prices and the vast menu ?Quote:

A very wet 10c, after a very wet night still raining
That bloody wind woke me at 5am. So that was me up and about. Going to be breezy and showery all day. Warmer though.
I got woke up early too not sure why but I refuse to get out of bed until it's light outside.
Problem is at 5am it was light outside :( Other problem is that a 5am breakfast won't hold me till lunchtime. So, less sleep, more eating. That can't be good.
Oh yeah sunrise was at 0505 this morning.
Only time I ever got up that early was when I was doing shifts at the warehouse, 'mornings' was 0600 to 1600. It's an ungodly hour even at this time of year.

A sunny 14C right now, and set to reach 23C later. And no rain forecast until the end of May. Make the most of it, this seems to happen every year.
17 degrees C when I left home at 06:00, with a forecast of 32 later today.

Oh no it's not half term is it? No chance we could enjoy the warm weather without children running up and down screaming? Of course not.
went into the town, still a strong breeze going but it's warm. First properly warm day this year.
A lot warmer outside than it is in my living room so have opened the window in the hope of letting warm air in. Monitoring progress, so far it's gone from 18.9C to 19C in five minutes, so it might be working.
26C, blazing sun in a clear blue sky. :)
Similar weather for the weekend, and for the bank holiday Monday the temperature is forecast to reach 30C, which is just about bearable for me.
22C outside, 24.2C indoors. Don't need it to be any warmer than that.

Only 15C right now but lovely morning and sunny, can even hear birds singing which is unusual for round here.
On the Isle of Arran, for a couple days, dry so far about 14c
Gone dull here now. Sun seems to be due back out at 1400 per the forecast. Max temp is predicted to be 22C so nothing spectacular, it's 20C in my living room right now which is the minimum I'm comfortable at.

Had a walk to the next town over bought a couple of CDs, walked back. It's hot in the sun but fine in the shade with a bit of a breeze.

Got a few garden-related chores done yesterday, including putting together a flat pack garden table and chairs set with Anita, and we didn't fall out once about it, replaced a hanging basket bracket for a longer one, and installing a water butt successfully, despite the instructions being written by someone who's English wasn't their first language and can't draw diagrams for toffee.
Oh and the nearly-dead flowers we got cheap from B&Q are perking up already.
Just got the grass to cut now, an hour's work at best. Then we can relax out there and think about all the poor sods who thought driving off somewhere for the weekend was a good idea.
