Agreed from what i have heard certainly not good SPPV, the same goes for the TL10's, i had my pair fully serviced complete with new old stock Mullards and still found them a bit well "dull" so sold them on, the stereo 20 pisses all over themQuote:

Well I suppose it's better than scrapping them. I've put new surrounds on speakers with very acceptable results. Those Heybrooks look as though they may have been done right and I suppose it's up to the individual to decide whether they're worth the asking price. I've had a Supex MM but not that one. I thought it was lovely. One of the best MMs I've ever heard. Can't remember the model, but it was slimmer than this one. They usually fetch high prices now.

Just got myself another interesting little bargain. A pair of late sixties 8" Eagle A-7 full range drivers. These were actually made by Coral for Eagle and are of high quality. I got a reduction on the postage, so the pair cost me less than £18! Nice.
