I had a pair of the Chartwell PM400s, they were pretty decent speakers (big buggers). Mine had black soft domes on the tweeters, I'm just wondering if these have the original units.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

L Cao, full range 8" drivers. I'd been considering a pair for months and this was the last pair left, so it had to be done.
They are a development of the fifties Mitsubishi Diatone speaker design. These are better known in the US and seem to have a bit of a cult following. Quality is regarded as very good. The optional use, equalisation filter is probably not needed in horn enclosures, which tend to correct for upper mid forwardness, as per Lowther. I just hope these sound less coloured than the Lowthers I've used.
