Cheapest parcel tape! I'll bet most of us get through a fair bit of brown tape sending off packages of Hi-Fi.

After a bit of hunting around, I think I've tracked down the cheapest at Wilko (Wilkinsons). It's 75p a roll, unlike Tesco who charge £2, it's also cheaper than ebay. Home bargains are reasonable at £1 a roll, which includes a ball of string and luggage labels, not that I use those.

Lol - in some ways mate, we're so different! I admire you're 'dedication to the cause', as it were, but personally I doubt that I could summon up the desire to hunt all over to find the cheapest parcel tape!!

I just buy it from the shop nearest to wherever I happen to be when I need some, and be done with it. If I ever get *that* bored, feel free to shoot me!!

Wilko used to be our 'go to' shop for all sorts of stuff - along with Boyes (same style) but since the last couple of years we have The Range ... much closer by and cheaper for just about everything nondescript that you had no idea you really needed until you did. We have also two new 'cheap tat' stores recently added to the itinerary - Home Sense and Home Bargains - pure joy!

Personally, I hate spending a penny more than necessary on anything (regardless of how insignificant) and will hunt down a bargain wherever they are to be had. Fortunately, Mrs Mikmas is even more thrifty than I.

Not all 'cheap tat' Marco - not by a long chalk.
The Range (for example) sell a lot of known brand products (like Dulux paint and JCB batteries) but at a price that puts other stores, like B&Q or Boots to shame. Geoff mentioned parcel tape - I'm pretty sure, based on my own experience, that you would be really hard put to find a significant difference in quality between the example from Wilko or that from Tesco. Not to mention the number of times wines from Lidl have beaten much posher (and pricier) examples from the likes of Waitrose or M&S in quality tests

I'm way too lazy to hunt for bargains, plus I like to support local retailers where possible. Can't remember the last time I bought parcel tape.

I tried, it doesn't work. I was paying over the odds for duck tape in the Maplins by me for years and it still went broke.
