And many of these people truly believe they have “powers”, it’s all good fun for a laugh, but when you start taking it too seriously, not good.

They had a psychic on a local radio station years back, the guy was actually good! But someone called in and wanted to know what would happen in the future, and they guy said, “you’ll be dead in 4 months”. The air went dead! And when they came back he was gone, never to return.

I used to be able to consciously steer dreams in directions whilst asleep. I could also wake up and then go back to sleep and rejoin the dream I'd been having. I had tremendous mental control back then and could also control my heartbeat rate. Steering through the random action of the subconscious is another neat trick. I can still do that one occasionally, but not the others anymore.

bit like the one about the guy who was dreaming about the French Revolution; he was a noble lord and was brought to the guillotine by the rabble ... he was pushed into position with his head on the block and he heard the sound of the blade hurtling down towards him. At that moment his wife tickled his neck to wake him and the shock brought on a massive and instantly fatal heart attack.

    I've got dentist today

I don't have a problem with seeing the dentist. This time apparently I need some fillings redoing. If possible I will have them done with no anesthetic which is what I normally do... it makes me cry with pain but at least I can talk afterwards without dribbling

That’s rather amazing! Some dreams I’m in then, and others, I’m only watching it. The one last night I was only watching, I was not a character in the dream at all. But I can’t say I’ve ever been conscious enough to steer it. Although, I have gone back to sleep and picked up where it left off. And one dream, I was up about 30 minutes, and went back to sleep, and picked up in the dream 30 minutes later, like it had kept going while I was awake?

On a different note, when I was in college, the math professor posted an equation on the board, and said that anyone who could solve it would get an extra 100 averaged in with his test scores. So, the sharper students in class all wanted to solve it. He warned that no one had solved it in over 5 years. So I worked on it at home, and didn’t get anywhere with it, until one night, in a dream, I could see the answer written in chalk on a chalkboard. We used white boards in school, not that it matters. So I jumped up and wrote it down. The next day I looked at it, and wondered if it was correct? It took me 3 days to reverse engineer it to show my work from the original equation, and when I presented it to the professor he couldn’t believe it! Accused me of cheating, of having a mathematician help me. I assured him I didn’t know any such person. But it was correct. People say I had it figured out but didn’t know it, but honest I was no where near solving that problem, not even close! So where did it come from? Hard to say.

I’ve heard that if you dream you’re falling you’re ok, but if you hit the ground in that dream the shock will kill you!

    It’s not true.

I think that was 'The Matrix'?

They do reckon that mathematically speaking we are almost certainly part of someone else's computer simulation.

It just dawned on me! Who told the story? I’m a little slow these days.
