I had a Kawasaki KE90 trail bike about fifteen years ago. Fun little thing it was.

A bit of a strange one.
My Peugeot Partner 2.0 HDi broke down last week and had to be towed home. Luckily I was only four miles away. The RAC guy said he thought it was the injector pump and I could see what he meant. There was fuel up to the pump, but no further. The car started up briefly on a squirt of 'Easy Start', but would not even fire without.
I asked the local car repair guy (based 50 yards from me) to take a look . He wasn't free until today and managed to take a look at it this morning. After trying all sorts of methods, including firing up on 'East Start' again, he plugged a diagnostic device in, checked readings and said "have you got another key". I had and fetched it. Tried to start the car and it fired up straight away.
Seems the key I'd been using had lost or corrupted its memory. Never heard of that before. Weird! Everything else like the starter motor, windows and central locking worked OK with the suspect key and the battery in it is only six months old.
Anyway. I got off lightly, the mechanic didn't charge me (I know him well). I had visions of a bill for hundreds of pounds. Now oddly, the bad key is working again. Maybe it reset itself after the car was started? Blowed if I know.
