Excellent. Decide what equipment you will actually use and work out how much you can spend on each bit.
What sources do you want to use? Records, CDs, computer derived music? It's good to get a decent source. You can skimp a bit on an amplifier to start off with. A cheap but respectable one will still give you sound. Even speakers don't need to be a huge expense --- I'd give some thought to how big you want these. Floor standing, stand mounted compact speakers or small bookshelf items.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
