    Everything was so creepy in the 1970s, and I loved it!

    Anyone got any idea why theme tunes for programmes then were often so dark and eerie?

    Cables & Sundries: Mark Grant HDX1 interconnects and digital coaxial cable, plus Mark Grant 6mm UP-LCOFC Van Damme speaker cable. MCRU 'Ultimate' mains leads. Lehmann clone headphone amp with vintage Koss PRO-4AAA headphones.

    Tube Distinctions digital noise filter. VPI HW16.5 record cleaning machine.

    Did anyone see 'Steel Collar Man' - it was on one holiday when the cricket ended early and they didn't have anything else to show. The intro alone goes some way to explain why the pilot didn't go anywhere. There was a hilarious bit where he wrestled a shark and threw it a few hundred yards up the beach...

    Beasts

    Doom Watch

    The Night Gallery

    The Twilight Zone

    and the king of them all IMHO The Outer Limits.

    TV shows but self contained stories The Sex Olympics, The Stone Tape, The Highway all from the mind of Nigel Kneale, he off Quatermass fame.

    Also brilliant The Flip Side of Dominic Hyde and its follow up.
