£13529! That was a lot of money in 1989, especially for what was essentially a piece of junk
I remember the Ital quite well, I knew a few people who had them.
A friend had the Metro, Maestro and Montego, in that order (all used) in the late 1990s - they were just shockingly bad, like something from Soviet -era Eastern Europe. All of them were stolen, which is even more bizarre.

Blimey, that was cheap!
As the service history was a bit vague, I took the recently purchased Peugeot Partner into a little service & MOT place about 100 yards away from my house.
The work I asked for was:
New timing belt with tensioner and idler fitted and a replacement water pump and auxiliary belt at the same time. New front discs and pads. Replacement fuel and air filters. Engine oil change with new filter. Also a full inspection of suspension, steering and engine hoses, etc.
The bill? £350 all in! Very nice, I was expecting a good couple of hundred quid more. I know the guy who runs the place, as they are sort of neighbours and they look after me well, but that was a bargain.
Funny thing is, the car feels faster now. Can't figure that, unless the new air filter made that much difference. The brakes feel worse, a couple of days bedding in new parts needed I reckon.
