First play and a lot of nice tracks...she sounds great on some as does some instruments. There is a suppressed noise floor which causes a bit of distortion in background and it annoys me a bit. These are crackly originals as can be heard on final runoff so maybe i am being a tad unkind...
All in a worthwhile inverstment

Spinning my box issue of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway.
Took the plunge and bought this 2014 reissue. Think I might have made a mistake! First play and it's not sounding good. Nick Davis has not done a good job with the remix. Sounds terribly compressed. Harsh even. I'll give it another couple of goes.
It is marked 2008 and "Printed in U.S.A." Atlantic/Rhino
And it really sounds beautiful, if perhaps a bit louder than the original.
Not less dynamic, just louder with more slam.
