A big thanks to Brian (brian2957) for fixing me up with the new set of IC's. They arrived Friday and I've given them a couple of hours listen today so far. Early days yet, but I'd say they are a significant improvement over the QED's I have been using. No doubt there is more to come. Great service from Brian. And a great piece of kit. Cheers mate.
