What's rod of god got to do with the moon landings?

The question was asked Ali why anybody would build a rocket if not to go to the moon. I'm just suggesting there's plenty of reasons to build a rocket, far more compelling than going to the moon.

Well yes, but I believe that was in reference to the Saturn 5 in particular. Did you have a look at it over there?

    Amazing machine!

doubt that technology was available at that time anyways ... I dont doubt that there are people in the us service that could make plans for all the conspiricy theorys to happen but actually making a plan happen and keeping it secret is nigh on impossible even in a closed state like the former USSR far less the USA. Hell, they couldnt keep anything like that secret, especially in those times....far less carry it out(aka the bay of pigs)

    sells books though

The so-called Apollo Guidance Computer (AGC) used a real time operating system, which enabled astronauts to enter simple commands by typing in pairs of nouns and verbs, to control the spacecraft. It was more basic than the electronics in modern toasters that have computer controlled stop/start/defrost buttons. It had approximately 64Kbyte of memory and operated at 0.043MHz.

When we were at Kennedy my wife had her smartphone in her hand, taking pics and posting things to social media. I pointed out to her as we were standing next to a command module how little processing power they had compared to what she was holding. Its mind-blowing all the same.

I'm a fan of the conspiracy theory that says all the conspiracy theories were started by the U.S Federal government to make them appear omnipotent.

Instead of incompetent which is what they really are. Along with most other governments.
