One of our Aircraft is Missing....one of the great war films(propaganda) ever made, and one of my favorites. I like to watch this late on, as it has an atmosphere that cannot be touched. Dont know what it is but it, I guess, bleeds hope.......highly recommended

Flawed yet wonderful.
Directed by Brad Bird of Iron Giant and Incredibles fame, its an "ideas movie" hidden in a visual blockbuster.
Speculative fiction, in the best tradition of Asimov, Ellison, Bova, Silverberg etc..
But done in an approachable way.
To call it charming would be a disservice, its a whole lot more than that.
Well worth a couple of hours of your time, it made the little boy in me grin a lot more than I'd admit.

The Wrong Arm of the Law (1963) starring Peter Sellers as "Pearly Gates". a gang of criminals from Australia led by Jack Coombes (Bill Kerr) impersonate policemen to carry out robberies. Local gang leader "Pearly" Gates (Sellers), who operates from the cover of a French couturier, finds his takings cut severely, and blames rival crook "Nervous" O'Toole (Bernard Cribbins). When it emerges that they are both being scammed by the same gang, they join forces, along with Lionel Jeffries' Police Inspector "Nosey" Parker, to bring the so-called "I.P.O. mob" (I.P.O. - Impersonating a Police Officer) to justice.
