OK. You need another pair of System 600s and an EL34 amp from Audion. A cheap Pioneer PD-S505 Precision (every bit as good as the Meridian 206) and Theta or Monarchy Audio DAC. Ive certainly come to the conclusion that the starting point is to get a set of speakers you can live with and that are fairly flexible, by being an easy load. After you have that sorted then the rest is just mixing about till you find the right mix.... but dont switch the speaks unless its better of the same.

Never thought of making yourself a set of fullrange very efficient speaks and a low powered amp or class D amp Shane. Ideal for a bedroom system. Ive set up a wee system in the spare room with just that and it is plenty powerful enough and really sounds good.
