The flight out to Memphis to check on his provenance is going to cost a few quid 'n all.

If it's so brilliant, why hasn't he used it?

Actually, to be a pedant, the guy talks about the TT being in Sun City Studios, Elvis never recorded there it's in LA. Where he recorded, with a Sun connection was Memphis Recording Services, owned by Sam Phillips the legendary producer. The studio was the home of SUN records and later changed it's name to SUN STUDIO not Sun City, which is a legendary studio in it's own right. There is a Thorens TD150 not a MK2, in Sun Studio in Memphis, I've seen it there. Buuuuut, the TD150 came out in 1965, my dad bought one in '66 and my brother is still using it. However, Elvis' last recording for Sun was When it rains, it really pours" recorded in 1955. Just saying' peeps Just saying'

Kinda thought it said Elvis had one himself and that if you went to Sun City studios they would confirm it, or have a picture of it. I probably mis read it though. Good points though Paul. Even Johnny cash only recorded there for a few years before moving on(think his was their first album)

Cambridge Audio CD4 SE CD player. Well regarded unit with a reputation for decent sound. Looks like it'll be cheapish, probably because the postage is high.

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
