Fabulous Hammer reworking of the BBC serial. Atmospheric and well paced - excellent. Despite its age the effects when on screen hold up well.

A rather good film that was. some of the dialogue was difficult to follow, and the switching times so often too, but overall I would watch it again and there are not so many films these days I say that about.... and Halle Berry is still rather nice, as is Doona Bae. Jim Broadbent was outstanding too

As a Jackal reader, its surprising Ive not watched that b4 It was quite well done in its way, but as a film it was way short of all his actions. Fairly portrayed and reasonably acurate in its self.
