Another Mission 774 arm. This one has the scarce solid counterweight.

It's in Frinton on Sea, which is actually 'The Lost World' due to it's vaguely defined and largely unexplored territory. They still send missionaries out there. Some make it back.

If this arm was still being made today. I wonder what the price would be now!

These 6 1/2" full range drive units look lovely. Looks almost a copy of the superb vintage Eagle FR65, which was made by Coral. These have everlasting doped fabric surrounds and firm paper cones. I bet they sound gorgeous.

They do an 8" model too, but my money is on the 6 1/2" being better.

I reckon a simple quarter wavelength transmission line box would have those shaking the room with a couple of watts.

I do my own 'sniping'; usually within a few seconds of the end time. I usually bid what I think the item is worth, but if I really want it I might set a maximum bid of twice or three times that amount. Not always successful, but I have won quite a few items that way. (And if I am outbid because the winning bidder has set a higher maximum figure than me, then I have the consolation that the winning bidder will be a bit surprised/shocked at what he has to pay! Not a particularly noble sentiment - but we're all human. )

I usually do similar. I decide on my top bit and put it in in the last 10 seconds. if a sniper gets it then so be it. These programs have kinda caused me to save a lot of money due to being outbid lol

    Very good price- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QUAD-405-2...-/191611103109

Hi-Fi Hanger's prices have always been reasonable. Unlike that bloody second hand audio shop, in North London!!
