Would not expect it to match the Krell Roy. not sure which model yours is but some run class a. and having owned an a class its a sound that can take some beating. nothing else sounds quite like it for me. The Crowns get a decent name though and I have been using some pro monos that i am now getting used to.

Well I'm impressed enough with the sound to have purchased another to run them bridged.
The Krell's a marvellous amp but very 'revealing', the Crown's far less critical.
