A 'heads up' for anyone using piCorePlayer...

Stick with 1.19, don't go to 1.19i pi2, as you will find that the 'Tweaks' menu is unavailable....'404' !

Which means you can only run with the 'default' ALSA settings, with 1.19 one can set it to 'Custom'

    Hi,

Just need case anyone is using Logitech Squeezebox Controller from their android phone or tablet to control their Pi, be aware that updating to Android 5.0.1 or above stops the app working.

I've now had to start using another controller and have settled on Orange Squeeze which works perfectly, tried some of the others available too (both free and paid) but Orange just works for me ☺

I'm not surprised, there's been no develpoment of either the Logitech Squeezebox Controller or Squeeze Commander andriod apps for some time. What about Squeeze Controller or Squeezer ?

    Anyone using jivelite?

SqueezeCommander (v 0.9.6.4) is working flawlessly on my S4 with android 5.0.1...I'm running Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.2 - r33893 on a QNAP NAS, serving 1 SB Touch, 1 Boom, 1 SB3, and a piCorePlayer...

I wonder if later versions of LMS might be the problem, rather than Android itself...

    Hi,

was working fine with LMS 7.9 until Android updated, however I now prefer using Orange Squeeze anyway so not a problem. Have tried all the others and I much prefer how OS looks and how it works.

Hi Mike, good to know that there's a good alternative should things go tits up with SqueezeCommander in the future...I may give Orange Squeeze a bash at some point, it looks like a better bet for tablets with regard to art work etc...

But for now I'll stick with the old adage of 'If it aint broke...etc'...

P.S. What phone are you using Mike?...I'm considering moving to an HTC M8, from the S4, so this would be something to consider...

    Hi,

I only moved to OS due to LSC not working but glad I did it's much better/prettier. I use a Oneplus One Smart phone which runs Cyanogen ( Android 5.0.2 ). Have to say the Raspberry Pi and IQAudio DAC are superb, have been running mine for nearly a year now and all is good. It has very nearly had me selling my vinyl front end and vinyl lol.

If anyone is hesitating in trying one out... then don't wait any longer, it's a cheap and ultimately satisfying way ( cos you built it... sort of lol ) to stream online and HDD music. I have mine running music from my NAS drive, Spotify Premium, Tidal, TuneInRadio, and previously had Qobuz on it too.

    Mike.

Terry I know nothing but I think I know someone who will. Try http://www.geb-dev.com/help/contact

Never seen it before but it looks a bit of a Win environment thing rather than Linux

    All the best
