Okay-dokes.... I'm only using my laptop now to operate Volumio, which is a superb interface with which to access the music contained in my hard-drives (NAS box)

I plan planting one in an aluminium enclosure with the HDD's non fan cooling. Plant the HRT PCB & Bespoke PSU in an enclosure aswell. But i want Windows 10 operator.. I don't want the enclosures resembling a Tower in any way.

I've still got my HRT Music Streamer II+ André, I think they are superb for the money and I use it everyday in my office system. I probably listen to this more than my main system actually!

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

Marco. Have a look at my post here: http://theartofsound.net/forum/showt...656#post635656

The output of the IQAudIO DAC has the potential of 2v output, but a setting in linux limits it to 1v, as highlighted to me by IQAudIO here. However, there is a mixer app (already installed in the volumio image) that you can tweak to improve the situation.
