They are suspiciously lightweight considering the wardrobe esque dimensions... In the pictures you can see construction is vinyl wrapped chipboard

These Technics SB-E100 are actually a bit of a bargain in my view considering the excellent looking condition. The asking price is a fraction of what something like these would cost new now. You could have bought a few pairs of new Tannoy Lancasters at the money then. I'd like them.

I'm guessing that is probably true but there is a difference between market price and actual worth that cannot be disregarded. New in today's money I'm guessing these would be at least £5K whereas James is right in reality they would fetch £500 on a really good day. Like wise for me to replace my Akais with something new and just as capable would cost me thousands but I paid £80 for them, because no-one wants them. Same reason I was eble to buy a minter Ford Scorpio Cosworth Ultima with 70,000 miles on it for £1250. Because to 99% of people it is just a big smoker and not what they are after.

We'll have to remember to check it out. But you can't make an offer it is just £1200 BIN and collection only from well out in the sticks. A fiver says the auction will expire with no sale

It's a pair of IIILZ speakers. Not something I'd be after, they ain't great. I guess they'll command somewhere between £500 and £800 depending on how many daft buggers are about.

The GL85 TT is just incidental to all this and not worth much 'cos it's horrible (I've actually seen a few of them with buckled platters for some reason).
