Indeed, it's quite mind-blowing really. I loved the first years of home computing, there were such a diversity of machines on the market. I've owned a fair few of them too. I wish I'd hung onto more of them as some are worth good money now if they are in good nick and have their original packaging and manuals. I have a Sinclair ZX81 in the loft which is unopened, I bought it in the mid-eighties from a local independent toy shop for the princely sum of 40 quid. god knows what it's worth in its current state, however I won't sell it.

Unfortunately the ZX81 is only worth about £80 so best just to hang on to it.. a classic..

The monetary value isn't important to me, just that the ZX81 was my first computer so it has sentimental value. The example I spoke about has never been out of its box, therefore it is pristine, as is the packaging, which was wrapped in brown paper for me when I purchased it as it is still

I had loads of compy-chootas when I was a teenager, but the one I have most fond memories of is the Commodore VIC-20. I can still feel the excitement of opening up the box on Christmas day (1980, I think, when I was 15)!

Cables & Sundries: Mark Grant HDX1 interconnects and digital coaxial cable, plus Mark Grant 6mm UP-LCOFC Van Damme speaker cable. MCRU 'Ultimate' mains leads. Lehmann clone headphone amp with vintage Koss PRO-4AAA headphones.
Tube Distinctions digital noise filter. VPI HW16.5 record cleaning machine.
