As an aside ...I did try a number of Mission speakers many years ago and didn't like any of them...some were stand mounts and some were floor standers and I didn't like any one of them...

I know at the time they were highly rated by the hifi magazines but they did nothing for me...

Also my first pair of Heresys were run with just 1.5w of set amp and it drove them just fine and VERY loud if needed !

Go for the Klipsch Dave... and then blame me if you don't like them...
If you send me your DV717 for fettling I shall install a little voice circuit inside which extorts an angry GRRR!!! every time you switch it on if I don't like 'em...

I should also point out that I am still listening to my hifi, at VERY low levels as it's late, BUT the Heresys still sound full and properly driven... you could drive them with virtually no watts and they will still sound super... in my opinion, of course... !!

I've missed me too Not sure where I've been but I have vague recollections of a small planet orbiting a white dwarf in the sigma quadrant. And then there's this sanctimonious git who keeps buzzing my house in his flying saucer...

I've been so engrossed in the conversation I completely failed to notice that Alanis Morissette had stopped popping her Jagged Little Pills...

    Dave,

These are identical to a pair I sold Nick Faldo in 1980, he was using a 33/303 IIRC and his house was a coverted ancient village hall and they filled it. I think a T amp with these and a powered sub would be mind blowing If I had room for a fifth system, I would be well tempted. BTW, I have always found the phasing with Hereseys and in fact all Klipsh horn type speakers to be very acceptable.

By the way Dave why are you wanting to get rid of your ART Skibo's ? Are they not the most expensive speakers you own ??
