At last - NA7004 streaming via an Android tablet

A friend of mine uses the NA8005, sounds really nice. And the Spotify Connect works like charm too.

There are other options though. Here in Sweden the franchise Hifiklubben sells a small unit that supports Internetradio, UPnP and Spotify Connect for about £100. Yes, i does ahve digital out!

Only problem I have for him is he has no network point near his HIFI and no easy way to run a cable so I bought a pair of TP Link powerline plug ins but for some reason I could not pick up his network ??, did everything as per the instructions, I have brought them round my house to play with them and see it I can get them to work at home first before trying again

a couple of things to think about are: first, Powerline adaptors don't always work if they are on different ring circuits. Secondly, they don't like it if they are plugged into multiway blocks that have surge protection.

Fantastic to know you can get something with Spotify Connect for that small sum of money. The next step up with audiophile goals in mind would probably be the new Yamaha CD-N301 which is £299. It's annoying for me because I own the Yamaha CD-N500 and currently there has been no software update to include Spotify Connect. I'm holding out as long as I can with the CD-N500 hoping that perhaps withing the next 6 Months SC will be available for this unit, and just because it's older (but better quality) than the CD-N301, they won't just forget about it.

Currently I'm getting by using an iPhone directly connected to the digital dock of the CD-N500 as my Spotify source. I also enjoy the built in streaming radio from Radio Paradise and more recently Radio Swiss Jazz. The CD-N500 already has a very good DAC, but the Arcam irDAC I use connected to the Yam is significantly better still.
