Thank you once again for your kind offer Tony it's very much appreciated but again I cannot accept. I'm not wealthy but also I don't need to choose between eating or heating as some retired people do. I can afford to spend a bit more money on tracing Wood etc but I fear It will be money down the drain. The amplifier I ordered from Wood should have been delivered at the end of December 2012 but it wasn't, I've been stressed about the situation on and off ever since, at the end of November this year (2014) it will be two years since I placed the order. I'm still tempted to break it up and dispose of it and give it no more thought. To be honest, it's a very heavy beast (40kg) and I just don't fancy lifting it again. From age 17 to 21 I worked as a roof tiler and weighed a little over 9 stone, in those days I could lift a 112 pounds bag of cement from the floor and put it on my shoulder. I retired in 2005 aged 58.5, the last eighteen years of my working life were in an office and the heaviest thing I lifted was a stapler.![]()
