Isonoe feet & boots. Ortofon RS-212D tonearm with Denon DL-103GL, in a Denon PCL-300 headshell, fitted with Funk Firm Houdini and Kondo SL-115 pure-silver cartridge leads.

But £425 for a pair of 12in Tannoy DCs in good nick with hardwood stands is not bad ...

The GA 202 and GA 212 were well liked and well reviewed back in the seventies! Good MM cartridges in the complementary GP series too.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I'm using 3128 Tannoys. They're pretty efficient, ten watts is more than enough for the average room. Even my little 4 watt 6V6 amp drives them OK.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I do agree, however at one time they might’ve been priced at £25, brought in by some old dear (without a scooby what they were), who’s husband had just died, etc - and where the shop also didn’t know any better!
These days, unfortunately, the majority of charity shops are all too ‘clued up’ on the stuff that’s worth money, and thus priced accordingly…
