Is any deck worth £37,000? Though it must be acknowledged this is for a 927D version. These are extremely rare - a special reference version built with special care and very close tolerances that was allegedly the best of the series; in part due to the use of a 'Glassmat', a special glass and rubber mat that replaced the standard acrylic slip-mat.

£6,875 for an EMT 930, arm and a couple of EMT cartridges?

Well, it is in very good (cosmetic) condition, uses an Ortofon arm and includes both the EMT TSD 15(sfl) and TMD 25 cartridges. However, the Ortofon arm RMA229 arm is not that special (grossly overated IMO) and there is not much use for the TMD 25 cartridge.

I paid ~ £2,000 for my EMT 930st/929arm/TSD15(sfl) combination, fitted into a substantial plinth. But that was ~ 8 years ago - obviously prices have escalated since.

This range was built buy Sony with no expense spared to show the world what the SACD medium could do. I have heard it said they sold them at cost to help promote SACD.
This top loader is built like a tank and highly upgradeable. Something special about the chip they used if I remember correctly. A bargain even at a grand.

Says Audax tweeters, mids look a bit like Peerless India units, don't know about bass units.

The bass driver looks like the Audax TPX unit used in the original Musical Fidelity MC 4.
