I Got one of those dust covers from Iconic Audio for my Girl friends modded Techie.
Very well made, crystal clear, and boxed well. Has four small soft pads applied to the edge so it doesn't slide around or scratch the deck.
Very good value.

Agreed!
If you want rare, then get yourself a four-speed EMT 930. I have only ever seen one advertised for sale in the UK.

Someone here must fancy these from South London
"I have for sale a fantastic collection of Classical Long Playing records.
There are about 4000 records for sale as a collection, with everything from Beethoven to Mozart, Bruckner to Brahns, Chopin to Dvorak. Thousands of records that were a personal collection of a close friend."

Celestion Ditton 66.....KEF Reference One
The 940 was a four-speed 930; as I described it, thinking that many here would have heard of the 930, but not of the 940. Apart from the fourth speed, the two were identical.
The one I saw for sale was advertised in a UK audio publication.

Oh my god! There's nothing wrong with the bidet is there?
“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".
“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”
"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”
“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

There are quite a few differences between the 930 & 940. None of the ones I've seen have the headphone outputs, provision to power a phono stage or cuing light plus a number of other small differences. The 940 does of course share the 930 top platter/bearing and motor.
I'd still like an R80S though
