Hmm... I guess MN did that on purpose as most people were finding the standard platter height was too low for most aftermarket arms.
You need a thinner mat.
Or a spacer of course.

I probably need a new cart as well! The cadenza black has 2mm clearence from the vinyl. The resomat is the best thing I've heard on my setup, previously I used the 5mm acromat. I think the spacer is the way forward.

Ebony armboard & 7mm SME spacer fitted. Early listening would suggest greater detail being found in 'dem old grooves of my vinyl. Still too early to make any decision. I will be having a listening session and making some notes. I'll share when I've finished.
