Billy bargain...I had the 50's once. VERY nice.
Its funny how tastes differ... I bought a pair after reading the gushing reviews on American forums but was bitterly disappointed, also tried & hated proper JBL L100's - Sounded like a cheap PA to me.

    A Marmite speaker maybe ?

Well....as all speakers are imperfect transducers, and we all have different tastes maybe all speakers are marmite.
(But some are more marmite than others?)
I liked them very much, anyway, and considering what these are on offer for, what that gets you in modern speakers, and what anything similar might cost now....billy bargain in my book.
Erm, I do like JBL's too - have a pair of lightly modded 4410's, and they're keepers...

Yeah considering I've seen people asking £500 for a rough pair those arent bad value... If you like them

Here's a rarity. Seventies Cambridge T55 tuner. Sold as "untested".

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Faulty from those guys means it was marked as such when it came in and it hasn't been tested at all. So that wouldn't be the cause of it being marked faulty. I've bought stuff from them before and it's been fine, working ok but buy as if faulty.

I used to have one, chopped off the cups, re-finished & fitted spikes & sat my old Pink Triangle TT on it.

Yeah, I'm yet to buy anything from them that actually turned out to be faulty... Most of its just rough as rats condition.

Was it worth the effort and make your PT sound quality to improve?
