Have to agree about Pioneer. I too have a Pl112D and very nice it is too (mine only cost me £39 on eBay). We have an A757 (I think) power amp that weighs a ton and sounds fantastic plus a CD stable platter thingie that sits in the main system - see off all comers.

I missed out on Pioneer when we were all going through the 'only UK stuff is any good' rubbish in the 80s/90s but am pleased to have discovered my mistake.
