It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

lol - yes possibly there is some of that going on it did cross my mind. Actually I don't think it is a scam in the true sense. Okay you are told they retail at £1.5K but you can have them for £350 but outrageous retail prices that bear no resemblance to the actual worth of the goods are not unusual in the world of hi fi. The buyer can see what he is getting and it is some quite substantial loudspeakers - it's not like the drivers are painted on or anything. Assuming the cabs are a decent build and the drive units are not being asked to do anything they can't I'd guess that they sound at least okay. I'd suspect I'd prefer them to a little 2 way stand mount but that could be just me.

I see your point, they are basically just preying on the naive. Notice how most "marks" were college students ?

... We'll have to ask Geoff to go give them a listen

    Er, maybe not.

Possibly these iffy speakers are ideal for students. The vinyl wrap 'veneer' should withstand having pizza and beer all over it and having the odd football kicked against them would at worst bust one of the £3 to replace drive units.

Abergele is in Wales, between Colwyn Bay and Rhyl, on the north coast
