    Wow! Some luck.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

You'd find the sound interesting too. Sort of 'wardrobe meets radiogram' with a bright top end. Yuk!

I've had some Lowthers and they didn't have a bright top end - didn't have much top end at all, really.
    Current Lash Up:

    TEAC VRDS 701T > Sony TAE1000ESD > Krell KSA50S > Troels Gravesen Faital 3WC-15.

    Which Lowthers did you own?

Feed Lowthers a bad signal, they will show it up!!

Acoustas. Got them for nothing from a bloke who was moving house the next day and just wanted rid. PM6a drivers (from memory, this was 20 years ago now). Full range with the whizzer cone so you are not exactly going to get a sparkling top end no matter what you feed them with. Sold the drivers to Classique Sounds and turned the cabs into PA speakers for a mate who was a DJ. Happy days.

That's odd. I've had a couple of pairs of Acoustas and found them bright.

If you thought Acoustas were bright don't ever try the Studiopower MC2000 which I also had around the same time. Treble peak like Mount Everest.

Those are extremely rare now. Is the bottom driver the correct one? I seem to recollect each cabinet had a matching pair of the 6 1/2" Audax bass/mid units like the middle driver.
