I was following the description of this forum as "All cable/equipment support discussion". I need to listen much more tonight (I can't wait to get home as it sounded superb last night) and then I'll post a review in Strokes

'Discussion', in that instance, refers more to debates/enquiries than describing in any detail the sonic merits of a particular cable. This section can of course include a little of both, but when a post is turning into more of a review than anything else, its natural home is SOG. Of course, when I made my original comment, I didn't know that you were later intending to post a 'full-blown' review there.

In the main (excuse the pun) I'm a believer in good quality mains leads, I can hear the improvement they make. I also believe in the law of diminishing returns, so if you have spent over a thousand pounds (approx) on a mains cable then you may be a little biased to the advantages.
The bottleneck described in an earlier post does not take into account the bottleneck in every mains lead including the £1000 jobby, the 13amp fuse. No matter how thick the cable is the power still has to go through this very inexpensive item. Should you decide to use a more suitable 3 or 5 amp fuse the problem is even worse. In my own leads I have compromised and use Bussmann 10amp fuses with the exception of the lead that supplies my Isotek Orion distribution block which uses a 13amp fuse. Even worse, most HiFi equipment that have internal protection use fuses of less than 2amps and that includes power amps, most are in the milli-amp region.

I compare them to any other upgrade.
Kit cost £100s or £1000s and these bits of wire easily hold their own at both those levels.

This amount of difference is seriously bonkers, especially taking all the other bottlenecks you mention into comparison.
One of the big plusses about mains leads is you can keep them as you upgrade kit.
You can always borrow one and hear for yourself

If somebody would like to loan me one of these cables, I am only to pleased to evaluate within my own system. The issue as I see it is, I don't think my system while very good is up to your standards and the cable may not be able to shine as it may do in yours.

Looking at your system list Clive I think you do it a gross mis-service.

I had many customers of my own mains cables that reported very good results with Cyrus kit.

Hi Frank, my system is very good and I do not under-value it at all, bit it still is not in the same league as others on this forum. Some people have spent double on their systems (not that on its own makes them twice as as good) the law of diminishing returns again.
I get superb results from the 12 or so mains cables I use and as Mike says it's Bonkers because nobody really understands how or why.

How many of you cable fans have calculated or measured the current your system draws, amps? What did you find? I'm glad my expectation bias prevents me from hearing these improvements saves a packet in cash and worry if I got the best cable.

No good me asking the man for a loaner because I have a girt big captive mains leads on my amp and conditioner
