I bought one of these just out of curiosity and not expecting much to be honest but heck, I am listening to it now playing Hugh Masakela's Hope album and I am absolutely gobsmacked by what I am hearing. Getting better as the minutes tick by too

I prefer the older '770'. I have an original pair of '737' boxed up, the version with the Audax tweeter {Like the ones in the attached pickkie}

They are gems... Not head the Freedoms so just wondered.

There was a pair of '737' on eBay the other week I wanted but the seller refused to courier them

Ive had three variants of the '737' still prefer the Audax tweeter.. I still keep them as they were part of a Mission system i bought in the 80's..

'DAD7000R' CD Player/ '775' Turntable/ '774' Tone arm/ '773HO' Cartridge/ '737' Speakers.. I think i had Musical Fidelity Dr.Thomas Amps with that system..

Personally I preferred the final version of the 770 Freedoms that had the oval tweeter escutcheon plate, but best of all were their bigger brothers, the 780 Argonauts.

Well, second best - the best were the 767s but they seem to be teetering on the edge of 'Did they actually exist or did we just imagine them?' folklore!

All good to know, I do have a soft spot for Mission speakers... My first 'proper' hifi speakers were Missions [Wharfedale Lintons dont count as hifi IMO ]

The original '780' Argonauts with the silver hammertone baffleboards were nice but i did not like the ones your on about with the set back Tweeter.

I has a pair of those for a while quite revealing as far as I remember, I sold them for £80 boxed
