The 'Lossless' is code for CD quality. But I think you should go that route to do justice to your amp and speakers. I think the format is ALAC.

I've heard many at shows Jason and they do sound rather impressive... I really like the models with tweeters built in to the top of the speaker... although I might have to sell my car, house and wife before I could even consider affording a pair of them.
