I don't know if you are familiar with ADC cartridges Jon, but the XLM III is superb. All the top ADCs over the years had a 'family' sound, very detailed smooth and transparent, with deep bass. I've owned the XLM III and it gives many respected MCs a good whipping. The sound, surprisingly is very close in character to the Denon DL-103R, which is no slouch itself.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Cracking amp/tuner ... Not sure how well looked after they've been photographing them on the wet tarmac ? Look alright though.

Tannoy 12" HPD drivers & crossovers £875. This model is getting dearer with every listing. Strange that the going rate for a pair of HPD Cheviots seems to be £550 to £650, but loose drivers command higher prices. Daft!

    Millbank Amps?

Look a lot of amp for the money asked. The seller has two. Look like pro kit to me, but well made as far as one can see

Yes they are nice... I had an XX which was good but I compared it line level to a Denon PMA-250 [mk.1] and couldn't tell any difference so sold the XX.
