Yes indeed, she was a bit of a babe back then. Still the finest and most satisfying pianist, along with Radu Lupu, that I know in recordings. She makes anything sound good.

This is an interesting listen.



Two 40 minute-ish symphonies.
The 3rd (placed 1st on the CD) is quite light-hearted and easy going, the 2nd is more serious and powerful.
Nicely recorded, both are well worthwhile.

I think she looks great for 72!

Certainly the finest female pianist ever IMO. Was watching her perform the Tchaikovsky with Dutoit on YouTube last night - just mesmerizing. She and Ashkenazy are my all-time favourites.

Superb stereo recordings from the early 60s - great sound in a somewhat bright but very focussed, hi-rez way.
Superbly alive and exciting interpretations - they don't make 'em like this any more!
