£50 is the very very top limit for a minty pair IMO. I found they sucked me in, I thought they sounded great [I still think they are alright] but once you move on to something else... Anything else [except maybe Ditton 15's dare I say it] you may find they sound dull as dishwater, wooly and indistinct.
You can easily pick up Goodmans Magnum K for under £70 which are IMO/IME better in every department as long as you listen relatively "on axis" due to the cone tweeter. I wish I kept mine

They do sound nice. I have 3 of them here 2 fully working and 1 for spares/repair.They are big and heavy but well worth it..Either it will sound dire or it will sound brilliant but the laser will die on me after 10 minutes
