    Either it will sound dire or it will sound brilliant but the laser will die on me after 10 minutes It still has to survive the courier of course. But, all part of the fun and it will be an itch scratched.

    £50 is the very very top limit for a minty pair IMO. I found they sucked me in, I thought they sounded great [I still think they are alright] but once you move on to something else... Anything else [except maybe Ditton 15's dare I say it ] you may find they sound dull as dishwater, wooly and indistinct.

    You can easily pick up Goodmans Magnum K for under £70 which are IMO/IME better in every department as long as you listen relatively "on axis" due to the cone tweeter. I wish I kept mine

    They do sound nice. I have 3 of them here 2 fully working and 1 for spares/repair.They are big and heavy but well worth it..
