They are not from Toshiba. It's from one of these research companies that the Taiwanese government had set up and then sold off once they were profitable.
For testing purpose I am using poor quality leads so that I get the maximum of jitter inducing errors. It's only about 3mm thick and breaks out in a sweat at 96KHz and higher.

Are these new sockets something that 1st gen BM owners can install on their own devices? I'm using Toslink at the moment, so I'd be interested on doing the upgrade. I already have the cheap cable

I didn't receive enough samples of those sockets to try out. So I haven't fitted one to a TC-7530DC to find out how well it will perform as an upgrade. But as soon as I have agreed the final price and purchase of the 25MHz sockets I shall look into this. But removing the old socket is not a job for the faint hearted. These double sided boards can be hard to with. I have already had to rescue a few people with their mods done on a TC-7530DC.

I've just bought Richard's Venomed Bushmaster, but definitely want a linear supply to give a fair comparison between my other DACs. Edging towards the MG supply as it's £85 cheaper...

I've been reading this thread with interest. Whilst I am not an owner of the Bushmaster (yet) I might just buy one as I have had the Caiman for a couple of years and want to move that to my Bedroom system to upgrade the stock SB Classic I use and get a decent headphone amplifier to boot.

All these people who 'rudely' come on here and criticise Stan and his products are frankly not worth waisting our time on.

I have always had good dealings with Stan. I've spoken to him quite a bit over email, being too lazy to ring and he's been not only prompt in his response but also detailed and offered more than you'd usually expect from any company. I've had dealings with a lot less understanding people so I think it is a little out of order to come on here and spout off at him.. If I did have a problem I would speak to him (or any other service provider) in person and not berate them on an open forum.

Stan, from what I see you're a good guy who has a considered (yes, maybe a little blunt on occasion) approach at providing what are great products and back service and thank you for the help you've given me, oh and the excellent Caiman which I doubt I'll ever get rid of, except to maybe upgrade to another Beresford product.

Sure. It's about 200mm wide by 140mm deep. The dimensions do not include anything sticking out though.

I am waiting for the front and back panels to get back from the printers. Werner and me were a bit late in getting the exact position of the various holes on the panels. So the position of the printed info on the panel was delayed.

I guess this case will sit under it quite nicely and it seems plenty big enough to build a decent PSU into.

I have had confirmation from the factory warehouse that FEDEX is scheduled to pick up the shipment from them next week Thursday. So I should be able to start shipping the week after that.

I am thinking of separating the cost of the DAC, the power cord, and the power supply. The reason for that is that each type of power cord costs me a different amount to buy. The US power cord is the cheapest and the Australian power cord the most expensive. The fixed price system means that those ordering the DAC with a US power cord are paying more for the package relatively speaking.
The other reason is that some customers already have a suitable power cord and even an alternative power supply that might have cost them as much as the DAC. For them the purchase of a power supply and power cord that won't be used is a waste of money.
Anyone with some views on my intended approach?
