    Which I discovered is a "off-center-tapped inductor" ... Its actually difficult to find replacements with the same series resistance its so high due to the cotton thin wire used.

    You can either decide which way you prefer the midrange switch & replace with the appropriate value inductor [1MH=flat / 1.6MH=cut] or buy 1x1MH & 1x0.6MH and wire them together so they mimic the original. Completely pointless unless you must keep them working as originally intended.

    They don't sound "hifi" impressive at all, just make very enjoyable sounds.
