Apparently these are rare. That must be why I've seen half a dozen pairs in the last few weeks.

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
Little known but fabulous Hitachi HB-320 speakers in Wales.
The drive units in these are of fantastic quality, similar to what JBL were turning out back in the seventies. The hefty horn pressure driver is a work of art and the bass unit is superb (it may have had new surrounds, the originals were pleated). If they were a bit nearer to me I'd keep quiet and buy them. At £30 it's an absolute steal! The tweeters alone would cost £500 a pair if they were still made.

Very rare 'The Advent Speaker'. US made early true acoustic suspension speaker, possibly even the first of its type. This is a landmark product, it even predates the famous AR3 if I'm not mistaken. I've not heard this model, but it is reputed to be extremely good.

Pair of Acoustic Energy AE2.
I recall in my father owning a pair many years ago. The dynamics were awesome and they also sounded good with movies!!

Ouch! That's all their money and then some. I reckon £600 would be more like it.
