Might be tat but that "mid" looks like a Celestion driver... I could be very wrong of course
Yes, I remember the Rank Domus range of speakers. If I recall they were OK for the money, but nothing brilliant. I may be wrong, but I believe the cabinets were built in the UK and the drivers came from Spain (SIARE?).
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Another example of silly pricing!

These were about forty quid around twenty years ago and were not great, a Cambridge 540P or 640P would run circles around it for a lot less money.

Bet some mug buys it though.

I won one of these on Sunday - for a tenner! Been wanting one for years. Used to have one in the late '70s and gave it with a Sansui SR 222 MKII when I put it in part exchange. Mine was distributed by Monitor Audio but I gather others like Pickering also distributed it. Anyway, I'm happy.

I could be wrong but I believe you can still buy one new from Richer Sounds for £79.99

    I think that's the PP4.

I owned the similar PP2, The Cambridge is still far better, I bought a 640P from Richer Sounds years ago and was amazed how good it was for the £69 quid I paid. An absolute bargain soundwise.

I must have tried just about every phono stage that was on the market a few years ago. The ProJect Tube Box SE was a let down, but the Bellari VP-129 was a little cracker! The EAR 834P was sweet enough, but over-rated and now way overpriced second hand. I've since stuck with the superb Graham Slee ERA Gold V, which easily beats the lot of them. I may move up to a Reflex one day.

I have both an EGV and a Reflex working in two systems - super phono amps, and a bargain at their prices . . .
