I hope Kimi wins more races, if only for the post-race interviews .

It seemed to me that Suzi Perry had to be rescued on more than one occasion by DC, but this was probably opening night nerves. The intro to the Qualifying show with her arriving on a bike was a neat way of introducing her I thought.

I hope Maclaren get their act together soon and show Hamilton he was wrong to leave, but somehow I think Mercedes will have the edge over them this year.

It's good Marussia have a taken a (small) step forward too, pushing Caterham to the back of the grid.

For me it's Vettel or Alonso for the title, with Kimi snapping at their heels and Hamilton just a few points behind.

I am quite a saddo, i actually sat through the race getting 60 secs updates of the race, at times like this i wish i could afford Sky,
can't wait for the highlights, seems a good race, especially at the end where both teams on the front had driver issues,
Vettle has just issued an apology to Mark for what he did and what now for the Hamilton - Rosberg team dynamics?.

The race (on Sky F1 HD) was superbly well covered. Edge of the seat for pretty much all of it. I have to take my hat off to Mercedes for coming in so strongly during the season where they had said not to expect too much.

The team dynamics were different: Red Bull had clearly expected Vettel to hold station behind Webber as they were both conserving tyres. Vettel preferred to be naughty and apologise afterwards. It's not the first time his hot-headedness has nearly caused a disaster. Hamilton and Rosberg were both asked to save fuel and to hold station for that reason. Rosberg, unlike Vettel, did as he was told. Had he gone for it, he may well not have finished the race.

I suspect that Webber will, from now on, do as he likes and will ignore Vettel and team orders. Rosberg and Hamilton, on the other hand, are likely to realise that they brought their cars home #3 and #4 and that it was the only logical thing to do. I doubt that there will be lasting damage between them.

What about Lotus going backwards and McLaren going forwards? A bad day for Ferrari, too.

There were two idiots on track today, Alonso and Vettel. I will deal with Vettel first: He's a cock. I would have admired him more had he come straight out and said, "Well, I was faster than Mark so I overtook him and that's that". Instead we were treated to a half hearted, not quite apology. After the race the atmosphere in the drivers room when Webber walked in could be cut with a knife. The problem Mark has is that he is not only fighting his team mate, he is fighting Helmut Marko too. Vettel can do no wrong in Marko's eyes and he is on record as saying Webber is unreliable. Webber would do well to move teams IMO, I'd quite like to see him at Torro Rosso with Ricciardo.

Alonso's decision not to pit at the end of the first lap to have his front wing replaced was not one of his better ones, he's not normally that stupid

To be fair to Alonso, IIRC it was a team call not to pit to get the wing replaced. They hoped it would last out until the first tyre stop. But in hindsight a pretty silly decision.

Vettel will have lost a lot of fans, I think, as Rosberg will have gained some . .

McLaren need to get their act together (JB was on for a decent finish given the car), and as for the Force India pit-stop farce . .

Force India blamed the wheel nuts, but it's hard to understand how they could not have noticed the problem prior to the race during all the practices and Qualy.

Indeed, my respect for Hamilton also grew a little over the way the two Mercedes drivers behaved yesterday. Vettel has it seems shown his true colours and revealed what a total wanker he is (if that was ever in doubt).
